    HP pavilion f50

Hi everyone, happy to be here.
I'm having an issue with this hp lcd monitor. when turned on I saw the no signal message but the rest of the screen have some vertical black and green lines, and although i can see things clearly when desktop is loaded it looks like i'm using 256bit color even though it is displaying at it's native 1024x768. any idea why I'm experiencing this problem? and is there a way to repair it? Thanks.

    Welcome to the Forums
A picture of the screen would help. Also, prepare to open the unit and take (& post) pictures if requested.

I'm positive about that. I have it connected to a ati radeon 4850 as a secondary display. my primary display is a acer 22''.
I tried it on my son lappy and its the same thing.
It was brought to me for repair but i'm stuck at the moment.

                  Kidding!
You either have some bad caps...
or a loose LVDS connection to the panel.
                  or some killer weed.

no bro I don't smoke. I will take it apart and see what give.
It works fine except it looks crappy when you play video movies or games, the owner said I should put it in the dumpster.

Don't discard it. Open it up and post some pics (better size/quality). I think it can be saved from the landfill.
