    Samsung T220 Flickers Rapidly

    Hello,

I have owned this Samsung T220 for quite awhile without incident. 2 months ago the screen started flashing black very rapidly. The black portion would fill the screen horizontally from the bottom-up. The image on the monitor would still be viewable on the top 1/2 or 1/4, etc. It could flicker a few times and then go away for hours, now it just flickers the second it is turned on and is pretty unusable. I have searched and cannot seem to find this same problem anywhere.

I figured it was bad caps and opened it up, the capacitors are Sam Young and a Samwha, none of them are bulging or leaking, I have looked at them all very carefully.

I have a multi-meter, just no idea what to check with it. Is it worthwhile to just replace the capacitors anyway or does this issue sound like it stems from another component?

Thank you all very much for your time.

    Fredrick

Sounds like a digital processing problem, could be caused by bad supply voltage\dirty power from bad capacitors.

Check all your power rails and make sure they are correct first.

And as selldoor said, photos of your boards, incase there is some problem you have not noticed.
