Hi everyone,

I'd like to repair this monitor myself, I got it for free but its got crap caps




Theres 2 photos of the caps on the power board. How much am I looking at for new decent caps for this board? so far seems like around £6

5x 25V 820
1x 25V 330


Can I manage with this that I bought about 6 months ago?

The only soldering experience I have is simple e-guitar fixes.


But not a electronics question I need to replace the ARAG film on the monitor as it's scratched to pieces and i have subsequently removed the film.

I now need new film. But I can't find it anywhere!

We dont really like offsite pictures on here - please edit your post and
re post them using manage attachments Jpgs less then 3mb work well
Without the pictures the thread is meaningless and of no help to future members

The caps you need are PANASONIC EEUFM1E331L &PANASONIC EEUFR1E821 or nichicon or rubycon eqivalents - checkthey will physically fit where they have to go. CPC have a minimum £5 order for free post and they only come to around £2-50 so you may want to get a bigger order and do the rest of the board. We do not recommend ebay for caps.
That soldering iron should be ok - try and get in a bit of practice first.

I dont know where you can get that film from.

Thanks for the great info!!

I'll find out what I need for my Samsung le40m86bd HDTV too before ordering!

Will post again if I run into problems
