I thought I would start a new thread since I didn't want to hijack an existing thread.
My symptoms are that after re-capping the power supply, I used the repair kit found on Amazon, my monitor worked for about 4 days, then last night it up and died. Nothing I could do could make it work. I thought I turned off the monitor, but when I came down this morning I found it on with a blue power light. I then attached a cable and could see a web screen I had up on my laptop which I left on last night. As of now, what is happening is that the monitor will work for a couple minutes at a time and then go black. The power led begins to flash ever so often, and then it goes amber to signify it has no signal. When I re-attach the monitor, it will flicker for a moment or two, the display the screen, and then a minute or two later go black again. Wondering if the logic board or the voltage regulator could be bad at this point?

But today, I’m making an exception here. Why? No idea. Perhaps only because the repair details are still “fresh” in my head… which is ironic, given this is a 16 year old monitor that hardly anyone will care about today. It is new to me, though.
