        Heya,

        On Saturday we fixed one of these and it was obviously, bulging, bad caps.

        From memory its was the four 1000uF 25v in the bottom left corner of the power board.
        On the original IMG_O453.jpg around the green bodied resistor (yeah I *should* be able to read it . .)

        interestingly/ randomly it was brought in as not working as a TV (there was no aerial in the space we were in) but it appeared to work rock solid as a VGA monitor, possibly just luck.

        thanks again for the great resource! I was almost upset that the problem was obvious and look forward to debugging lamps, not visually damaged caps and transistors . . .

                LG 23MP55HQ LED Monitor turns off after a few seconds or flickers.

                Good evening, gentlemen.

                I have a problem with my monitor. It turns off after a few seconds or flickers. Shining a flashlight on the screen doesn't show any image, so I guess it's not the "2 seconds to dark" I read in the forum.

                To turn it back on, I have to press the power button twice. Then after a few seconds it turns off again or flickers. See video.

                4 weeks ago i launched Metro Exodus Enhanced and during cinematic advertisement part ( 30 fps ), pc just shutdown.
                Also monitor flickered with NO SIGNAL 10 seconds after shutdown. So only monitor and pc was affected.

                Next i pressed only power button, rebooted again and its fine again. Happened once and i cant reproduce.

                I have a HANNSG Hi221 monitor that exhibits two seconds to black issues (backlight goes off, display is still on as confirmed by shining a flashlight on it) with some additional oddities...


                The monitor failed on me with a standard "2 seconds to black" some time ago prompting me to initially replace most of the electrolytic capacitors (some of them were bulging/leaking).
                Things kinda sorta worked for a night, then the problem returned along with some flickering and "buzzing" noises.

                Upon closer inspection...

                Hello,
                I have an Eizo SX3031W monitor and after a period i had problems with the tcon board. I did reflow, it went well for a while after but the problems appeared again. The second reflow attempt was a failure, the tcon board stopped working. In the meantime, I bought a perfectly functional Samsung 305T monitor from which I took the tcon board and installed it in the Eizo monitor. Since I turned on the monitor, the blue color appeared in the background instead of black. And also in Windows, appears blue instead of black. I tried various settings from the monitor and driver settings but...

                Hello, I'm working on a new deskmod pc project and have a problem with my monitor, an AOC U34G3XM, well, I may have bricked it.

                The monitor was dismanteled and the separate parts parts integrated in the desk. the screen panel alone is on the upper part, and main board/video board + power board on the back of the desk (not enough place on the cover to fit it)
                At first everything was working smoothly, then I decided to change the connexion between the video board and the screen for a longer one. Still working fine
