The way I remove the chip like that is to cut the legs, then use 40 Watts Iron and heat up the big tab while adding more solder to it, the melted solder will help keep maintaining the heat, then you just twist the body to get it off the board.

Took mine apart and replacing some capacitors before destroying MOSFETSs

need to replace 3 of 16v 1000uf, 3 of 35v 470uf ,1 of 50V 33uf.
