Hi guys i have an Acer AL2416W monitor. I have had the thing for probably the best part of 4 years and it's been great.
Recently I have started to get a problem.
When i provide power to the monitor i get a green acer logo pop up briefly then the screen turns off (the power button still has a green light on it).
If i yank the power cable out and in a few times i can sometimes get the monitor to stay on but the issue has been getting worse.
Once the monitor is on it stays on, it's just the initial turn on stage where it will switch off.
I'm comfortable with a soldering iron (not a guru, just comfortable). I presume i will need to replace some parts. I have a local maplin store close to me.
Any ideas on what i can check?
Many thanks
