    Using 6CCFL universal inverter

I propably screwed up an inverter, see this thread: https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showthread.php?t=14176

Therefore I perhaps want to replace the inverter with a board similar as shown here: http://www.lcdparts.net/U6_3D.aspx
    (Cheaper: http://cgi.ebay.com/PC-LCD-MONITOR-S...-/320682588403)

I checked the on/off pin on the broken inverter board (2.9volt) so I think this should work. Input voltage is 20volt, but the new inverter is specified for 12volt. Will I need a resistor or something for this? Another concern of mine is the last pin, the dimming pin. What are the chances this pin is not compatible?

You would need to know the current that the inverter/Bl's are going to take to calculate the Resistor required to drop approx 8volts from the 20 that you have, and the 12 you need, and also what Power rating it would have to be,before you even worry about 'dimming',although the latter should not be a problem. How do you intend to do that ??

Thanks for the help I'm relatively new to this.

The electric current taken by the lamp is 6.0mA. I was under the impression that all backlights work with the same voltage, and therefore inverters are interchangable. Is this correct?

There is a separate 12volt line going to the logic board, so i could use that one but i'm worried about the extra load. The 12V line can be loaded up to 2.4A, the 20V line up to 1.8A.

Backlight current is usually about 6ma...However what is the Fuse rating on the input Voltage line to the Inverter....6ma,10ma,1amp,... No way, probably nearer to 4amps !!!!!!
