    LCD Monitor buying help....

Still using 19" CRT. Now I need to buy a LCD Monitor. Visit shops and checked many LCD Monitors.
    recommend to buy ?????

    see these:

    SAMSUNG E2220 (21.5",1920x1080,5ms,DVI+VGA,CCFL,45W) - 160$
    SAMSUNG E2020 (20",1600x900,5ms,DVI+VGA,CCFL,25W) - 134$

    SAMSUNG BX2031N (20",1600x900,5ms,DVI+VGA,LED,20W) - 168$

    AOC E2243FW (21.5",1920x1080,5ms,DVI+VGA,LED,22W) - 147$

(prices are in US$. may be differance due to currency rate of our country)

    here my questions:

    1. Why 20" Vs 21.5" LCD make 20W in power consumption diferance? is 21.5" one uses many CCFL lamps than 20" ?
    2. Actual advantages of LED backlits ? How about lifespan of LED monitors ?
    3. How about reliability of SAMSUNG monitors ?
    4. Your choise from above monitors ??

    PS:
I know there are lot of very good Monitors available now. but my budget is limited & only few models available in here.

    1. It's all in the design, as you can see the Samsung 21.5 is 45W and the AOC 21.5 is still coming in at 22W

    2. Haven't had enough LED screens to really give you a complete answer.

    3. From what I have seen every manufacturer has some problems with different production runs, it is usually the quality of the components that seals the deal. Some manufacturers use different vendors for the same parts.

    4. None of the above, my personal preference is to buy a used one that someone thinks is junk, then put about 30 minutes of my time and maybe $10 worth of parts into it, you usually end up with the same features at half the price, The best thing is that you had it apart and know that it was done right the second time around.

The LED monitors I've put out so far are nice - can't speak for reliability, I'll call back in 2-3 years, unless they die sooner.

Check thses two Acer monitors. CCFL backlit & LED backlit.
LED backlit one has MTBF of 30,000 hours. but CCFL backlit monitor has 50,000 MTBF hours.

          CCFL monitor
