Marshall guitar amp schematic /advice please

    MODEL - LEAD 100 MOSFET

    Not producing any audio

Removed the SEND / RETURN link at rear of unit & ran a lead from SEND port to another amp . Audio present therefore at least part of the pre amp is working .

    Model is actually 3210

Slight error on symptom listed .

Does actually produce audio , but it's distorted .

Issue looking like pre amp related .

Removed the SEND / RECEIVE link again & this time inserted an external signal into the receive port , then take out to another amp . Sound is clear .

With the same set up , except link connected , audio distorted .

If the DI output is clean, that would leave the mosfet power amp (5 transistors) as having some problem. Op-amp 5A can sometimes get nailed with ESD/overload and damage it, there is no input protection for it,.

Have you tried without the "link"? It shouldn't be in there for normal operation as the jacks are tied together until a cable is inserted. If still having issues, then your diagnosis will be good as the send/return jacks are at the end of pre-amp.

Actually, you have set it up wrong. Take a line from "send" to another amp. If clean then pre-amp good. Insert a signal to "return" then from speaker jack to speaker cab. If thats distorted then its the power amp section. The speakers do not connect to the output with the "level" pot. In your picture you are running into return then out of the DI/Output which will bypass power amp. The DI is directly after the return jack.

Oh, those are for the reverb circuit. I don't see a potentiometer for dry/wet so it's always a fixed amount of reverb.

                  Hi Redwire

Strange , maybe a coincidence that it corrected itself .

Will run it on a long test before kicking it out .

Very much appreciate your advice , thanks .

Guitar Amp Marshall 75 reverb issue
                    by daigs
Hi there, new fault hardware over my desk.

I'm talking of a Marshall Guitar Amp 75 Reverb.
Turning on the amp a "uuummmm" high level noise come out from the speaker. If I connect a source at the input nothing change.

Attached you can find the schematic.

I checked all the +/- voltages, 15, 24 and 45 and all are OK. The input fuse is not burned.

With the speaker connected or disconnected the R44 R45 R46 R47 are soon (10 seconds) very hot.
With the speaker disconnected I measure 45 volt DC on the speaker output terminals....

Don't hesitate to tell me what i do wrong and if you have any tips and tricks, because i want to learn and improve.

I have a 60w iron that can go up to 450c, cone tip, i usually set it at 400. I applied flux on solder, tinning the tip then applying new lead solder to the joint so that it can mix with the lead free and lower the melting point, then i tried to suck up the melted solder with the solder sucker. But that didn't work since the lead solder doesn't seems to mix with the lead free one. I also tried applying flux to a wick and the board, then tinning the tip of the iron and...

                    Mosfet Advice
                    by Green Probe
Hi, Im looking to replace some EMP21N03 mosfets on an Alienware motherboard, but I'm having trouble finding a legit supplier. The ones that are available from China have pictures with the engraved logo looking very scratchy and sketchy. Nobody in the US sells them. I'm trying to find a compatible mosfet, but I'm not well versed enough to be confident im making the right choice. Does anyone have a suggestion or advice that could help me find the right mosfet? Thanks!

Gigabyte Eagle 3060 Ti - Boardview / Advice request please
                    by user234
                    Hi all,

Recently installed a new motherboard but during the process I seemed to have damaged my Gigabyte Eagle 3060 Ti card.

My motherboard ROG STRIX B550-A is detecting an issue with the VGA (light ON)

I have attached 2 photo's of my GPU board, one above and the other is what I believe to be the 5V - as you can see, this has visual damage so looks suspicious to me.

If I replace this part what are the odds this will resolve the issue? - any additional information on where to source the parts would be much apricated too!

                    This is...
