I'm hoping to find the answer to a no boot, red triangle illuminates fault in a Kenwood DNX570HD. I have two of these double-DIN head units and they both have the same failure mode, which makes me think it may be a characteristic fault, but so far I haven't been able to unearth any intel on this.
The symptomology for both is: when power applied to red/yellow leads, the red triangle illuminates for about 40 seconds and the fan starts. After this time passes, fan stops and the triangle goes dark. Pressing the red triangle reset causes the same sequence to repeat.
I have the service data on this unit and checked the voltage regulator module, IC200 (syscon IC) reset and clock oscillators. I cannot say for certain if IC200 is not seeing a monitoring input it needs or if its firmware is corrupt or if it has failure to communicate with one of the sub-micro's, such as the front panel controller.
Unfortunately mum's the word from Kenwood on this, so if the nature of this fault is know, please give us the golden key.
Thanks, Jeff de AC4AQ
