You need service manual to check protection history to see what caused protection circuit kicked in, then go from there. If you get DC, then go check main AMP transistors for short.
Normally, DC Protection signal trace should be 3.3V. If it goes low or higher than that, then protection circuit kicks in to protect whole unit.
