    Thanks for the advice.
    I had a quick look at the data sheet for the switcher IC, so that helps to understand the circuit somewhat.
    Does anyone actually have the circuit diagram for this board from Monitor Audio? (I can replace everything that's failed/potentially damaged but would be nice to see the diagram for it if possible).

            Hi. I need help from wiser guys. I am amateur in electronics and can't figure this out by myself.
            I bought faulty speakers, M-Audio AV40's. Other speaker has all the electronics in it and the other speaker is just passive one powered by the other speaker's amp. Original problem with the speakers was loud buzzing. I figured out that there is something wrong with the capacitors. I went ahead and replaced every electrolytic capacitor on the PCB. The caps are good quality and have the same values as the original ones.
            After replacing the caps I started testing out the speaker. It seemed...

            NuPro A-20 Active Speaker burnt LNK 606

            Hi,
            The LNK 606 on the power board for my active speaker just went to hell.
            I would like to replace it, but this very model is hard for me to get. Can I replace the LNK 606 with the LNK 616 or the TYN 266?

            I also attached a picture of the back side. The burnt part above R2 is a bridge, that is connected to the COM of two chunky electrolytic condensator (82 micro Farad, 400 V). I just tidied that up. Or should I worry about that?
