NuPro A-20 Active Speaker burnt LNK 606

    Hi,
The LNK 606 on the power board for my active speaker just went to hell.
I would like to replace it, but this very model is hard for me to get. Can I replace the LNK 606 with the LNK 616 or the TYN 266?

I also attached a picture of the back side. The burnt part above R2 is a bridge, that is connected to the COM of two chunky electrolytic condensator (82 micro Farad, 400 V). I just tidied that up. Or should I worry about that?

    Thanks

You cannot replace the LNK606 with a TNY266 as the pin out is different. The difference between LNK606 and LNK616 is the later having a mode selection for the cable drop compensation.
Always clean off carbon tracks as they are conductive. The black stuff must be gone. If it goes into the PCB, grind it out and cover with epoxy.
Mouser.de has tons of LNK606's in stock.

Thanks for the tip with the carbon traces, I will watch out for it.

The problem is that mouser, rs-components and farnell want up to 20€ for shipping. I would end up paying around 16,50€ to 22€ just for this 1,50€ chip.
The other chips I mentioned are available at reichelt, which A) just want 6€ for shipping and B) are not far off for me, so I could just drive there and catch the chips immediately.

I read about the cable drop compensation and at a first glance it looks like there is no capacitor connected to the appropriate pin.
So when you tell me the is no option to go with any other chip than the LNK 606, then I will bite the bullet and pay the shipping.

Mouser offers to ship via snail mail for 8 bucks here. Obviously not in D, just checked.. Digi-Key offers also 8 bucks shipping here, but over in D costs 18€. I verified for stock Digikey, Mouser, LCSC. Just looked at TME and they are out. You can try LCSC as they are cheaper on shipping. Maybe check AliExpress too…
Basically you got to choose you want fast, cost more… want slow and you can save a few bucks. Up to you!

I didn't have TME and LSCS on my list, they have reasonable shipping costs to Germany.
