    Hi guys,

    I've opened my Bm5a :

It seems to be chinese caps, bad or not bad i don't know but i think i could change poly caps for Rifa MMK, electro for Elna Silmic II and Panasonic FC.

They are eight filter caps (1000uF@35V), can i use low ESR?

The rectifier bridge is rated @8A, that's a good idea to change it with ultra- fast diodes (like MUR820)?

Others ideas are welcome too !

    Regards,
    Ben

Nice pics! A little hard for me to see the ID on the caps, but the vent design should clue us in. As to the bridge rectifier, I'm not sure you would see any advantage with changing....just my 2 cents.

No ID on caps, just value and rating.

      Thank you.
