one thing i noticed about the milwalki rebuild kit, they seem adament that you connect the batteries to the board in a specific order or it wont work - maybe there is a reset for it if you get it wrong

just referring to your post in the other thread about the skyrc mc3000 battery pack as i dont want to spoil that thread since my reply has got nothing to do with the topic. just comments about aliexpress.

as long as u are able to prove what u are saying with evidence and pictures, they will give u your refund.

in my case, i once bought a solar charger power bank from aliexpress. it also claimed that it was waterproof. but on closer inspection, it appears the solar panel can be depressed to make a gap where water can enter inside the power bank.

then i accidentally left it near the window and it got some splashes of rain water on it, then after that it doesnt work anymore. no blue indicator lights when charging the power bank from usb and no green indicator lights when solar charging. totally dead power bank. i showed the pics of no green light when charging by the window in the sun and aliexpress granted me a full refund. their judgement verdict said something along the lines of non-working product claim successful.

so i guess, in sam's case, it appears that the chinese electronics flea market strikes again. the sellers have got no idea what they are selling or how to properly test their sheet before selling to prove its really working before delivering it to the customer and then, they end up with irate customers who didnt get what they ordered... or it doesnt really work properly like its supposed to. and in my case also, i ended up with a waterproof solar power bank that wasnt really waterproof...

I got a response from AliExpress about my dispute I am going to get a $60.00 refund from the $120.00 for these 4 Milwaukee 12 amp hour battery pack repair kit

Or I could have return all of the kits minus the battery for a full refund but that was not what I wanted I just wanted a refund on the BMS protection board because they did not work correctly

The battery enclosure and the other enclosure and the tabbing and hardware for the batteries is decent quality for the money that I paid for this is the reason I did not want a full refund

The tabbing and the hardware was the most important part of the repair kit that was need and the enclosures

Here is a link to it

    https://www.aliexpress.com/item/3256804189572441.html

The tabbing and the hardware and the enclosure are good and made it easy to put the battery pack together but I just can not use the BMS protection board that came with the kit

I had to open a dispute with AliExpress for the Milwaukee battery pack repair kit that I bought the BMS protection board does not work correctly at all

They do not turn power to the output of the BMS protection board instead it turns on the two most LEDs from the switch for the fuel gauge button and not charge the original BMS board flashing one LED light most to the fuel gauge and went solid after a few minutes and I have power to the output side of the BMS protection board

I had to use the original Milwaukee BMS protection board that the batteries had become unbalanced

So I do not any extra battery packs that I thought I might have so now I want a partial refund for order which was about $40.00 for each one

And the tracking number information is very slow to update as well
My package of 12 amp Milwaukee M18 battery pack shells came in the mail and customs opened one of the packages and did not repackaged correctly but I was not missing anything that I am aware of

But until I have put the battery pack together I will not leave any feedback for this purchase

raspberry pi stuff is open-source, you should be able to find the schematic and board for the original if you wanted.

For anyone interested, I found a simple PCB design guide for the RP2040 chip.

Also some KiCad files that look decent as a starting point or even just ordering as is.

Those came from this Digi-key link which also discusses PCB design requirements for the chip.

Thank you for pointing out the different image / color options. When the color option was mentioned, I was looking for a drop down / combo box, and so I didn't even notice the various images as being color options.

I didn't select any of those options, I just looked at the item description, the image of the item on the left and the price, then just added it to the cart.

But in the future, I will be more thorough before putting something in the cart.

But after looking at your screenshot markup, when I clicked on the first "color option" it does look like they are selling the Pico with the chip mounted to the board for around $5 ... which still seems like a decent price to me.

I know some AliExpress sellers are sketchy. But in this case, it's totally on you.

If you take a look at your own screenshot in the first post, you can see the "Color" options. Your mistake before placing the order was selecting picture in the left side instead of correctly selecting actual item aka "Color" in the middle.

I guess you were looking around and then left the "Color" selection on individual RP2040 chip from 3rd from the bottom. We can confirm it by checking your order detail screenshot here

Sorry to see you have wasted time and money. It's understandable since AliExpress in general is somewhat confusing and many new buyers make these same mistakes.

Well, as I pointed out before, there were no "color" or variation options of any kind.

One of my recent replies to this thread has the link to the actual item that I purchased.

yea, some sellers even have a notice and warning on their item page saying that bga chips are fragile and prone to being damaged from the buyer's own "soldering error" or bad/poor soldering technique. no refunds are allowed for buyer's own soldering mistakes.

if that was the case then how do u know they sold u a working bga chip in the first place? this is clearly the seller trying to wash their hands of responsibility on what exactly they bought. the seller has no clue on what they bought or whether it actually works or not.

i actually also wanted to buy some bga chips to replace the faulty ones on some of my mobos and video cards. but when i saw that disclaimer crap on the aliexpress seller's item page, i just said fock it. i wont be buying bga chips from chinaland. maybe some place else.

for singapore, the punishment for armed robbery and bank robbery is many years in prison like in china plus whipping/flogging with a horse whip dipped in vinegar for extra pain. so singapore is like the chinese plus arabs rolled into one.

I bought an LG 37LG5020 with a very strange issue.. it turns on, the display looks fine, but still, after 2 seconds, the TV shuts the backlight off..

However, if i leave it plugged in for 20-40min.. the time it takes to shutdown the backlight, doubles (to 4 seconds)..

Sad tale of a PS4 - no video output
    by dicky96
OK guys, firstly I am no expert one these games consoles. I fixed one PS4 slimline last month, which is the first one I ever looked at, but that obviously had a broken HDMI connector so it was just a microsoldering job.

This one is a PS4 Pro. it is two months old, bought from Game

Basically this slipped off a bed and landed on the floor. The only visible damage is to the LAN port. You can insert a LAN cable and it clicks firmly in place but it is a bit tricky to remove.

But since the accident the PS4 has no video output on the HDMI. When I turn it on the...

The search only resulted in instructions and utilities for older models. I tried to update the firmware and rollback, but the BIOS only stores the Windows license. Everything else seems to be in EC........

    Macbook A1708 Main 820-00840A
    by robgerr
Good morning, this macbook does not power on. By connecting the (non-original) power supply it negotiates 20V and absorbs 1.40A (battery connected and perhaps charging). Disconnecting the battery it stores at 5V and after about 5 seconds it rises to 20V and absorbs 20 mAmp. I did a quick check under the microscope but I didn't find any oxidation damage, it seems perfect. I checked the main rails and they seem ok.
