Here we go again with tool battery pack chargers not wanting to charge because of one bad 10uf@50 volt capacitor and a 47uf@50 volt questionable ESR value
10uf = 1.3 new 0.34
47uf = 0.25 new 0.35
The two capacitors replaced between the transformer and the heat sink
A couple of days ago I put a battery on to charge and the red LED light was on when I went to go put the battery in the tool yesterday the fuel gauge showed one light out of four so I said what the hell is going on here the LED light is red or green it is not on at all so I open it up and checked the two capacitors that have gone bad on another Milwaukee battery charger I have same exact model so I been through this crap before but this one has lasted the longest time this is one of first battery chargers when they first start having the the “M” series I still have some of “V” series the ones that were nicad batteries
One note on the “M12” battery pack these batteries are not the best batteries because the majority of them are made Korea and there quality is hit and miss some time they last for a long time and some of them only last a year or so the cells become unbalanced and the charger does not know how to deal with them and become useless if you try to put new batteries in it they will not charge correctly for some reason which I have not been able to figure out what is the issue with them but I think it has to do with the protection board in the batteryAttached FilesLast edited by sam_sam_sam; 06-06-2021, 09:02 AM. -

I have two Milwaukee 12 amp hours battery packs that have an issue with battery cells very unbalanced these are probably over 4 years old and been heavily used in the past but now get occasionally used heavily and when I went to use the grinder tool the battery lost battery battery power very quickly so I decided to open it up and found some battery cells voltage from 3.6 to 4.1 no wonder the battery charger was not fully charging them 3 out of 4 LEDs were on meaning that it was only 75% charged

I have an Acer Aspire A315-42 laptop. I generally leave it on for long time by closing down its lid (so it enters the sleep mode). Recently, it rained quite heavily in out area. And the humidity and moisture seem to be high. So one late evening, after I opened the lid and turned on the laptop, it did power on as the blue light turned on but after it booted to the desktop screen, just 5-10 seconds after both the screen and blue light went out and laptop shut down (the blue power light turned orange). I have an RC radio handset(Taranis QX7) which doesn't have internal battery charger which means I had to remove the battery every time I needed to charge it.
So to improve it, I added a 15W USB-C charger board(link) inside and soldered it to the same connector on the PCB where the battery plugs into, great, now I can simply charge it with a USB-C cable.
but the problem I found is that after the radio sat for two weeks without being used the 2S 18650 battery that I'm using was at 4.2V!
So the battery is backfeeding the charger and being drained.

My question pertains to understanding the control circuity inside a Dell PT434 type battery used in Dell E6400, E6410 and other Dell notebooks?
Does anyone have a circuit diagram for the inside of a Dell PT434 battery and/or a description of how the control lines work to control this battery?
My reason for asking is I have a battery which I cannot get to charge beyond 1% in a Dell E6410 or E6400.
The LED bar graph charge indicator on the battery shows one LED lighted when the info button is pressed.

The Bauer power tool battery charger just has to many issues with the charger over heating because I several HERCULES Hercules battery chargers that are 3 amp charge and because they have gone on quite a few times over the years before they came out with the fan cooling battery charger I going to modify one so I can charge Bauer battery packs faster than the crape battery charger that they have
