    AOYUE 8800 Desoldering Gun PCB

    PCB Components list

    BT134-600E Thyristor TRIAC 600V 4A TO-126
    LM358P DIP-8
    MOC3021 Random-Phase Optoisolators Triac Driver Output DIP-6
    DB107 DIP 1A 1000V Rectifier Bridge
    DB3 ST trigger diode
    y2 250v x1 400v ceramic capacitor
    100uF 16v Capacitor
    46E 104J CBB capacitor
    b203 potentiometer
    3362 potentiometer
    1N4007 Diode
    FR107 Diode
    20k Ohms 1%
    390k Ohms 1%
    240k Ohms 1%
    1.5k Ohms 1%
    8.2k Ohms 1%
    15k Ohms 1%
    2.7k Ohms 1%
    100 Ohms 1%
    470 Ohms 1%

I'm going to make a duplicate of this pcb, for another 3d printed desoldering unit. Using replacement C088 element/barrel/nozzle.
Using CadSoft EAGLE to try recreate this layout. but so far not 100% certain of the components list.
It looks like a 2 sided pcb, it lets light through, I marked a red arrow is that a via bridging top and bottom circuit?

    The silkscreen info has
1.5k resistor / 470ohm yet have the same colour bands.
same for the two 470ohm resistors.

Potentiometers are unknown ohms, Is it ok to turn these or will they be calibrated?

    RW 203
    10K
    VT3

Also attaching the bare pcb layout the traces are damaged, and hard to see so I defined the copper in black.
any help or advice would be appreciated thanks.

    Epson EB-U42 projector / Caps with 0.7 ohms ?!
    by narf
    hi all,

first of all: i'm a (motivated) newbie, so please forgive me any stupid question i may or may not ask

i'm currently repairing a projector: Epson EB-U42 that doesn't start (no lights, nothing).

    what i've found so far:
    - the PSU does its job and supplies 12V to the mainboard via the connector.
    - shortly thereafter, there is a mosfet (TS420-600B) where i can test 12V on the one side (in the data sheet this side is called Anode), Gate 0V, Kathode shorted to ground
    - not far away, there's the first cap with a resistance of 0.7 ohms....

Desoldering gun station modified to use a 18 volt @ 20 amp switching power supply
    by sam_sam_sam
I have wanting to do this project for quite sometime now and I finally found a switching power supply that will work on this desoldering gun station ZD-915 that the original switching power supply took a shit and just was not worth trying to fix it because this switching power is not quite big enough to handle the heater element and the vacuum pump

One note when I tested the switching power supply and the voltage control board I noticed that this desoldering gun heat up much faster than the original switching power supply which I was really surprised by to the point that I might buy...

HP EliteBook 840 G6 how to dump without desoldering
    by hans_meier
    Hi,

I have an "HP EliteBook 840 G6" and would like to know how to dump the BIOS flash chip without desoldering. Putting 3.3V on VCC of the BIOS chip with a programmer does not work (seems to enable the PCH). I have read some general notes about connecting the CPU reset to ground or to bypass oscillators. There does not seem to be a reset line for Intel i5-8365U. Just RSMRST, but it's only accessible on the other side of the mainboard. Is there an easy way to dump the flash without desoldering and without removing the mainboard? Does anyone have experience with this? Maybe...

    MSI R9 390 Gaming 8GB - short on +MVDD
    by hummel
    Hello,

Please note I am a noob and all the actions described below are based on the experience gathered on the internet, mainly YT

    MSI R9 390 Gaming 8GB - motherboard model MS-V308 v2.3.

The card has a short circuit on the entire + MVDD line, starting from the Q703 element ending with the MVREFD outputs under the GPU, but I will describe from the beginning what I did:

    1. At the very start, I measured the resistances on the main power lines, coils and checked the 0 ohm resistors. Everywhere ok, hundreds/thousands of ohms on each, well except...

    ISL95880HRTZ desoldering temperature
    by Dreigas
    Hello,

I bought from China ISL95880HRTZ (3+1+1 Voltage Regulator with Expanded ICCMAX Register Range Supporting IMVP8 CFL/CNL CPUs) chip, which I think is not the original one, but anyway, I tried to resoldering it with a 380C hot air station. Seems soldering is pretty good, but the laptop doesn't work (it worked before, but still had some problems with power delivery).
Is there any big chance, that they sent me two fake ISL95880HRTZ chips or did I just use too big temperature for desoldering? I will try with another chip, but I can't find any info about the maximum desoldering...
