    Roku 1 and video Outputs?

    Hi guys,i've just ordered A Roku 1 and it has HDMI and RCA outputs,i learned that in order to watch Through RCA outputs i have to disconnect HDMI,is their a work around this?,

    probably not, it has to switch resolutions.

      Did you at least get it cheaply? You can buy a roku stick with remote for 35$ these days.

        the thing is i don't have any tv with USB port.

          Hi stj; i'm confused, Some people say it does some other people say it doesn't,
          some people say you only have to plug it with either hdmi or rca,
          and some people say in order to have rca output active you have to unplug hdmi,i don't know! when i receive it it will check,
          my intention is to connect it to my hdmi display and the rca cables to a RF converter to the old tvs in the other rooms

            it depends on if the video chip has 2 seperate output buffers like a pc card, or a single one.
            try to find out what chip it uses - then look for a datasheet

              Hi guys i,ve got my roku 1 today and i have 2 routers one is Tg862 from xfinity and a second router Bufallo with Wrt software,i can connect to Buffalo with Wrt but i can't connect to xfinity tj862 my main router,i have error code 014.40,anybody know what should i do?

              also about the hdmi working along rca outputs ,no it doesnt work.

                You dont need a usb port on your tv. Some sticks have a usb cable, but its for power only. Hdmi plugs into tv, then usb plugs into a usb power adapter.
