I got a Extech dw-6060 watt meter recently and could only use the general functions (amps, volts). I didn't know how to use watts. After a lot of time on Google trying to find manuals besides the junky Reed's version I found a awesome, nothing but chinese(I think) manual. In that was a nice image showing how to use watts. After rigging up something using two sets of meter leads I finally got it working. I know have ordered some solder banana connectors and not the junky ones with a set screw on the side so I wont get shocked. I will modify a short extension cable to have colored connectors so no thnkging bout which is which. After I have that set I will have a picture of it working. I was wondering if anyone else has a extech version or Reed's or Lutron version. And if so how's it working for you? I can post a link to the Chinese manual. I want to translate it someday so I can better understand.

Hello. The laptop freezes and resets only at low CPU usage, practically at IDLE after a few minutes. There is no problem under a load, and I benchmarked it for over an hour. I noticed that one of the CPU coils was making whining noise at low CPU usage. I previously thought it was a BIOS problem, but updated BIOS and no change. I'm thinking of changing the CPU DrMos'es there are 5 of them all together. I have already swapped the DrMOSes first one with the last one (I desoldered them and soldered in swapping DrMos no.1 with...01-06-2025, 09:14 PM -
I bought "ADATA C008 / 16GB" USB Flash Drive yesterday, and I'm curious about meaning and usage of this 10-characters number and 4-charatcer string on USB Standard-A, "male" plug.

by sOZQ6tQmiHi all,
I have little experience with board repair, but repaired a motherboard recently (it was a bad cap) and really enjoyed the experience, and now bought a known-broken laptop as a learning project. However it seems I'm stuck quite early on.
Laptop: Dell XPS 15 9570
CPU: Intel Core i7-8750H
GPU: GeForce GTX 1050 Ti
Motherboard: Compal LA-F541P (schematic attached)
Original AC adapter that is outputting 19.38 V
History: I bought the laptop while broken, but the previous owner states it just stopped working one day. There... -
by howardc64Edge lit LED TV has 1/4 section backlight out. Replaced the LED bars and sharing the findings on the original 10k hour LED bar.
These are 6V LEDS (reads ~5.4+ on my LED tester) New bars read about 147V per 1/2 of each bar. Clearly original LED bar has some problems- One section is 153v with a dead LED so clearly built up resistance
- One section flickers but magically fixed itself after driving individual LEDs. All done with an LED tester so don't know if would work driven by PSU backlight circuit and how long it would last
- Connector pin to test pad resistance is nearly 0 ohms.

in a pcb circuit of welding machine
i have three resistances smd 4.7 ohm burnt in series with std2nb80t4 also burnt
with hole on the middle
this mosfet is connected on primary of an transformer and it seems take dc voltage
how can i calculate the watts of smd resistances to be sure i have choice the right value
can i take from an older pcb smd resistance with the same size?
is right ? - Loading...
