    Security Lights

I have just been looking at a PIR security light ,usually these have two sensors
    Cds cell.
    Pyrolytic detector.
The one I have looked at only has one IR detector.
Does this carry out both functions of sensing the visible light, and the infra red radiation ?

cheap ones just switch when they detect a person,
better ones only work when it's dark to save power.

If you like the manual on option make sure it's listed on the box. I thought I got a good deal on some motion detect lights, they didn't have that feature, I need to take them back.
      From my favoritest movie ever!:
Cledus Snow: Can I ask you a question?
Bo Darville: Sure, ask me what?
Cleedus: What the Hell do we want to go to Texas for and haul beer back here? What is that?
Bo: For the good old American life. For the money, the glory, and the fun. Mostly for the money.

        i used to just rewire them for a 3way switch - on-off-auto
it will trash the warranty messing with the internal wirring usually though.

After I posted this I realised that dusk function operated when the output of the PV cell dropped because of the darkness .The IR detetctor just operated by body heat.
