Need help identifying resistor values near BIOS chip on ASUS Zephyrus G14 GA402XV

    Hello,

I purchased a laptop that the previous user had tried to remove and replace a BIOS chip using a soldering iron not knowing that there is a ground pad under the 25R256JWEQ chip. In that process he damaged the BIOS chip and 3 of the resistors near the IO3, CLK, and IO0 pins. I have programmed a spare 25R256JWEQ chip using a CH341A programmer but not sure what values those resistors should be. If anyone has a boardview of this area and can provide those values that would be very useful for me.

    Attached is the photo.

    Thank you!

Are these pullup resistors, or are they in series with the IO pins?

The resistors go to pins 5 (IO0) and pin 8 (VCC).

Here is an upclose view of the PCB image i found:

These are two pull-up resistors to + 1.8-3.3v, they should be the same, somewhere around 4.7 kOhm, the other signal ones are somewhere around 10-100 Ohm, check which ones are on pin 6.

Thank you for the feedback. I will measure the resistor at the top location that you mentioned and install at the other location. At the other signal pins I measured 44 ohms. I will install that at the other 2 locations near pin 5 tonight and provide an update.

good news lotas. i installed the following resistor values and can finally boot into the laptop but now I am constantly getting an ACPI_BIOS_ERROR blue screen loop. i wonder if I am using the wrong resistor values on the signal pin.

I am thinking the resistor I put in the red box is the incorrect value.

              by Mouseketier
I have a Asus GA402XV board number ga402xi-pmv-vgt. Someone threw it in the trash. I have worked down to the issues being the bios is corrupt. I have successfully flashed the bios downloaded from asus site and machine boots. How ever the serial number is missing and windows key. I have uploaded both the old bios and one i flashed. Could someone help me correct this or point me in the direction of how to myself.

Recapping Sony ICF-SW55 - verifying cap values
              by proxneo
              Dear reader

I am performing a repair on a Sony ICF-SW55, which includes recapping (some) of the SMD capacitors on the mainboard. I am looking for verification of their values. At the moment, I'm 95% sure I've got the right values, but it is hard to find some official, credible or multiple independant sources on this.

At the moment, I have selected replacements based on the following list of values:

              3 x 470uF 10VDC
              3 x 4.7uF 35VDC
              4 x 47uF 50VDC
              8 x 22uF 6.3 VDC
              1 x 220uF 6.3VDC
              5 x 100uF 6.3VDC

              Which...
