Re: Diode "ZL9528" where can I find some
When you can't find it, it helps to give us context.
1) A picture helps.
2) Where is it in the circuit board?
3) What is the piece of equipment?
4) Is there a schematic available?--- begin sig file ---
If you are new to this forum, we can help a lot more if you please post clear focused pictures (max resolution 2000x2000 and 2MB) of your boards using the manage attachments button so they are hosted here. Information and picture clarity compositions should look like this post.
We respectfully ask that you make some time and effort to read some of the guides available for basic troubleshooting. After you have read through them, then ask clarification questions or report your findings.
Please do not post inline and offsite as they slow down the loading of pages.

Re: Diode "ZL9528" where can I find some
Depending on the age of the product, "9528" could be a datecode - 28th week of 1995.PeteS in CA
Power Supplies should be boring: No loud noises, no bright flashes, and no bad smells.

Thank for the info
I will have to remove them from the board and see if there are any other # on itComment

Re: Diode "ZL9528" where can I find some
sam, a 2N6403 is an SCR, suggesting that what you are working on is mature technology, if not also some 15 or 20 years old. Industrial equipment is often expected to have a life measured in decades, so I'm not being critical. One hint as to the age of what you are working on (and to whether "9528" might a datecode) is whether the 2N6403 was made by Motorola or On Semiconductor (which was spun off from Mot in 1999). You may also find datecodes ("YYWW" or "WWYY" are common formats) on the PCB, electrolytic caps, ICs or large discrete semiconductors (e.g. TO-3, TO-220, and TO-3P or TO-247 packages). Some equipment even includes a date code in the serial number (e.g. Transistor Devices electronic loads).
Speaking of packages, is the device in question in a large high current package? Or a low current package. If it's the former, the 16A, 400V current and voltage ratings may be a clue to suitable equivalent parts. Also, SCRs are not fast switching, like MOSFETs. So a >/= 16A, 400V fast recovery (100-200nS recovery time, not a 20-50nS ultra-fast type) rectifier in the same package and pin-out might work.PeteS in CA

by Francesc V.Hi:
I have what it might seem a zener diode. It's marked as E57, but I haven't found any reference that might match my observations.
I've took one from the same circuit and tested isolated with the power supply and a 1k resistor. with 10V, the possible zener stays at 6.6V.
It seems a SOD123 package. It measures (2.6mm x 1.6 mm).
Any idea? it's a 6.6V zener?
