    Polymodding/Recapping my computers

ive got a couple of computers here that i am thinking of either recapping with rubycon/etc or partially or fully polymodding. first of all i have a Dell GX520 "Toaster" SFF PC that i use as a backup whenever i have problems. i figure as its put under a lot of thermal stress a polymod and cooling mod might be useful considering i do end up using it a bit. the second board is a Second Hand DG35EC that i use as a server so its up pretty well 24-7. ive been having problems recently with the intergrated X3500 GPU Drivers resetting and was thinking about taking the system down and having a look as i kinda cannot afford it to randomly break. do you think it is worth even recapping these systems or should i just wait till a fault pops up and then fix it later.

Recapping Sony ICF-SW55 - verifying cap values
    by proxneo
    Dear reader

I am performing a repair on a Sony ICF-SW55, which includes recapping (some) of the SMD capacitors on the mainboard. I am looking for verification of their values. At the moment, I'm 95% sure I've got the right values, but it is hard to find some official, credible or multiple independant sources on this.

At the moment, I have selected replacements based on the following list of values:

    3 x 470uF 10VDC
    3 x 4.7uF 35VDC
    4 x 47uF 50VDC
    8 x 22uF 6.3 VDC
    1 x 220uF 6.3VDC
    5 x 100uF 6.3VDC

    Which...

Texas Instruments bq24745 bq24745RHDR bq24745RHDT Battery Charger IC for Laptop Computers Datasheet
    by Document Archive
The bq24745 bq24745RHDR bq24745RHDT is a high-efficiency, synchronous battery charger with an integrated input-current comparator, offering low component count for space-constrained, multi-chemistry battery-charging applications. The input-current, charge-current, and charge-voltage DACs allow very high regulation accuracies that can be easily programmed by the system power-management microcontroller using the SMBus interface. The bq24745 charges two, three, or four series Li+ cells, and is available in a 28-pin, 5-mm x 5 mm QFN package.

The bq24745 features dynamic power management...

Dell Optiplex GX260 - Advice Needed for Polymodding Motherboard
    by SwedishDiesel
    Howdy folks,

I have an Optiplex GX260 that blew a couple of those troublesome Nichicon HM series (ultra low ESR) electrolytic capacitors. Because said caps are obsolete, they are pretty much impossible to find on the market; I did find a listing for some but I believe they are counterfeit. I feel the easiest thing to do would be to replace all the blown caps with polymer ones. I am by no means an expert in electronics, and I've found a fair bit of conflicting information, so any guidance or confirmation would be greatly appreciated. While from a practical standpoint it's not worth...

Recapping a Denon AVR X6400h SMPS
    by Green Probe
(TLDR: It was capacitor C6519 [Koshin KZH 50V22uF] and C6515 [Koshin KZH 25V47uF] on the power supply. I have questions at the end)
Disclaimer: I'm an amateur hobbyist and will get things wrong.
Always use caution when working around mains power and high voltage capacitors!

Hey guys, I'm repairing a Denon AVR X6400h for my brother. It quit powering on after a power outage. It acted like this last time there was an outage, but after letting it sit overnight it started working again for a few years. This time letting it sit did not bring it back.
