Samsung LED Pros I need your advice!!!

I am getting a UN46ES6500FXZA as a warranty replacement. I am wondering if I can purchase the boards from the UN46ES7100FXZA online say from www.shopjimmy.com and upgrade my tv to 240hz? Also would I need to upgrade both boards t-con and PSU board? Or can I just get away with upgrading the T-Con?

Both are virtually the same TV, 3D, 7100 has Higher contrast ratio and 240Hz

However, the question is, honestly, WHY? 120Hz as it is makes everything unnatural and artificial. Why would you want more of that?

I agree, on my D6100 i have to turn motion plus off totally if i watch a film, otherwise it makes big block buster films look like they were filmed on a camcorder in my back garden. The 'soap opera effect' some people call it.

You could not do this without replacing the panel too. The panel for a 240hz refresh rate is a faster panel than a 120. I once saw a post on another forum where they were crowing about how they had converted their 720p Samsungs to 1080i sets by changing a setting in the option bytes. I tried to convince them that they did not make their TV a higher resolution like that, but they didn't believe me. I have a lot of experience with these sets. It will not work.
