They are LG, How do I figure out if it is the IPM. Is there a way to check? Also I cant figure out if I do still have sound because I dont know what input its on and I do keep cycling but never seem to find the HDMI with the bluray player on it....Leave a comment:

Vizio VP42 Plasma (No Picture)
Ok so I was given this Vizio VP42 HD Plasma and I was convinced I could fix this cost effectively. Has no video.
Plugged it in and press power (nothing unplugged yet) and I hear the relays on the PCB click and I see LEDs on the lower main board top three light green and stay on. The last one D15 doesn't light at all.
All fuses are good. I checked them for breaks with continuity and again for voltage at both ends, they are fine.
I am at a stop at the moment looking to you fine folks for help. -

Ok so I am thinking if I can use this:
To do the job of my PSU Board? I dont need the audio to work just the video portion.
If it is possible I guess I would need to know if anyone can tell me what both of the harnesses need voltage in these pics?:

After fixing the Main big Cap, replaced the fuse with same amperage one. Plugged it in. Book IC651 blows a section of the top of it and that is gone now. I just need to find a new Power Board. Any ideas where to find one? I have tried eBay and local CL. Ohh and I have the 2405FPWLeave a comment:

It is coming from the edges of the top leaking inwards to the middle. I also thought it was just marker, and it isn't bulging. But I also never have seen marker look like a powderish substance....Leave a comment:

Well I am joining this thread as well to say I have one of these monitors that encountered the same main cap with the same issue on one of the poles. Now I have ordered my replacement for that. But I have noticed that there is one cap on the video input board I would like your opinion on (bad or not bad?) The Cap is a 35v 220uf 105c. I have attached it here:...Leave a comment:

Samsung LED Pros I need your advice!!!
I am getting a [B]UN46ES6500FXZ[/B]A as a warranty replacement. I am wondering if I can purchase the boards from the [B]UN46ES7100FXZA[/B] online say from [url]www.shopjimmy.com[/url] and upgrade my tv to 240hz? Also would I need to upgrade both boards t-con and PSU board? Or can I just get away with upgrading the T-Con?
Both are virtually the same TV, 3D, 7100 has Higher contrast ratio and 240Hz

Ok back again everyone. Well here is what I have come back with...
1. Recieved EEPROM yesterday.
2. Soldered it in and my Vizio stand by goes white then back of and to orange again. Checked all cables. Everything.
3. In my rage and frustration found an exact same TV an hour away that had a unfortunate ending with a fall and LCD cracked. Picked it up for 50 for the whole TV and brought it home.
4. Switched out both boards and transplanted them...Leave a comment:
