question about solder paste (cell phone board)

Hi I have several very small components on some cell phone boards that have to be replaced (surface mount) and I think the best way to apply the part it is to use small drops of liquid solder paste and place the component down then heat it up with hot air nozzle but I am not sure what the best type of solder paste to use? Lead or lead free solder paste?

The stuff I got is no clean lead free OM-338 but I have to ordre more since my stuff is expired, but I was checking if lead solder paste would be better for my application?

lead based paste melts at 185ish degrees, lead free at 215ish degrees. lead paste would make your reflow easier.

Help with trying to fix phone that is not charging (Pics inside)

I have two TCL A30 phones.

Old Phone: This phone worked fine for years, then stopped charging If you plugged a charger into it, the phone would make the charging sound, the phone would tell you it is charging, but the battery icon would not have the charging symbol in it and the battery would not charge.I tried new battery, same behavior.

New Phone: Works fine, bought as a donor board to try and repair Old Phone

My interest here is to repair Old Phone, using components parts off New Phone if needed. I am not interested in replacing Old Phone with New Phone....

Solder paste recommendations please

Hi guys. Well I thought solder paste was just solder paste but apparently not

I want to try solder paste for resoldering BGA chips and LGA sockets as I am having no luck at the moment. I have no problem safely removing the old part, it's getting the replacement one to solder which is where I am going wrong. The Type 5 solder paste link he gives in the above video says it is not available.

I want to use the paste like in the video on this thread

new OS on a Sonim XP5s phone

To you programmers out there I want to know if it is possible to put a new OS on the Sonim XP5s phone? I only need this phone to make calls, receive calls, have a list of contacts and be able to call voice mail.
I bought this phone new Sep.2021 as an unlock phone from a third-party seller. The phone worked fine until Jan 2022. I then had intermittent problems with the sound setting resetting itself. One of the settings, outdoor, would go to silent all by itself. When in silent mode it does not indicate a call has come in. I missed very important phone calls. All the other setting in sound...
