SO I just got done recapping this 32" phillips board but one of the caps I ordered was 35mm panny FC 3300uF 16v to replace a 25mm jamicon SK cap. I went ahead and put it in then took the board out to the set to see how it would fit. It fits fine as in the housing closes up with no problem. I left a flashlight in the housing pointed at the cap and I looked through the vents of the set. I can see a gap between the two but if i press down on the center of the plastic housing, it touches the top of the cap.
This worries me a bit since the cap location is where the optional external mount holes are located.
The only reason why I went with that cap, because all the other caps including the higher voltage ones, the spacing was incorrect, I need 5mm, or the specs are underrated. I had room for a larger barrel though but I didn't find one.
Anyways...
Question is since the housing is plastic, would the cap be all right? or does it need to come out?
