    TEK 2225 oscilloscope

    Has anybody got the circuit diagrams for this oscilloscope ?
    Mine has an intermittent fault where the position only moves in the bottom half of the screen ,on both channels .
    Think it is one of the longtailed pair amplifiers that drives one of the Y plates in the CRT .May just be one of the ww resistors going O/C.

    Any help would be appreciated

      Well that's interesting.
      I have a 2225 with the same problem but it only affects one channel.
      Not planning to fix it though. I got a better scope instead.
      I blamed the problem on FedEx for dropping it and smashing the crap out of the front panel and busting the handle in half.
      The Insurance reimbursed me 100% anyway so when I find my round two-it I'm ebaying it as a junker.

          I'll look around and see if I'd found any docs.
          I don't think I did but I remember looking online.

                  Fixed the scope ,one of the two transistors that drive the Y plates did not have a connection to the collector .
                  Quite easy to solder a wire to the case ,but bit of a struggle to refit it .

                          Hello.
                          I have jut got my first analogue oscilloscope. An Isotech 620 20MHz.

                          I want to learn how not to damage it, and I found instructions on the internet obscure.
                          They talk about ground, earth, floating ground, this, that....
                          But they don't actually say anything anything useful so far.

                          I want to know:
                          Don't connect exactly this to exactly there or it blows up.

                          For example, I am tracing a signal from a function generator in an audio amp, or testing for voltages in different parts of a circuit.
                          I want to know what not to connect...
