Where to buy decent 'mini' probes ?

Have a few of these, the wire is soft and nice but the plactic handle is failing - Where can I buy new probes for these pocket dmm's of decent quality ?

The plastic handle and tip measures 10cm, probe wire outer diameter is 2 mm.

Had a look on ebay but only found the regular size probes.

How about contacting the mother company for an actual replacement which will fit back in this case?

You will not find just leads for them.
    No one makes any.

Look in the Pomona 2013 catalogue for something that would work for you:

Though Pomona is somewhat high end, so a bit expensive.

Thanks for your answers, will try to contact Kaise for spares.

Yes I know of Pomona, have some of their products.

Thank you very much for using our SK-6511 Digital Multimeter for a long time.
However, this model has been discontinued many years ago, and the spare probes are not available.
We are sorry for the inconvenience, and hope your kind acceptance.

This multimeter is a generic, I have one labelled BECKMAN INDUSTRIAL and I've seen others with different 'manufacturers'. It's a good wee meter!

Also, those probes are nice and slim, but the actual tips are annoyingly large and easy to short when checking stuff with smaller spacing.

              Hello,
Maybe you can unscrew the tip from the cracked probe, unsolder the wire from the probe tip, and cut (or file) the plastic probe's end straight across. If the threads go deep enough into the plastic probe you should be able to reattach the wire and then just screw the tip back into the slightly shortened probe.

This would at least make the probe usable until you find a replacement.

              Regards.
              Frank

I would use some "filler" epoxy to fill that space in, won't look that great but should be strong enough and is the same length as before...

Fill in the space and sand it down so that it's round on the outside...

I've been doing a lot of that recently where I lost bits of plastic...

Either way I would buy those, because they look that you can pull the front tips by pliers, therefore you may try to solder your own cables on them.

And about price they are totally inexpensive.

Edit: Or better get two of those as spares if something goes wrong when trying to disassemble them.
