iv uploaded some pics to try show what i mean regarding tip moving the first pic is the model the next 2 pics show diffrent lenght as i pushed it in for 1 pic and pulled it out for the other and finally the last pic shows how much of a gap there is at the tip but as i said im unsure and some input would be great as im now unsure if this is a real hakko iron as it was stated the real hakko iron so again ty.

i done a little more digging regarding this clone iron the hakko data for the ceramic element for the iron state it measures 64mm but mines measures 60mm thats why the tip dont fit snugly so the add they have i think is even wrong as it states genuin hakko ceramic element but that dont measure up to what hakko have and olso the add dont say that the iron is a real one just shows the pic of the iron which gives the illusion its a real one and the term used by them geniun hakko element and olso if u send images to a seller stating the problem can they enlarge them using ebay software rather than the buyer emailing them from gmail etc as iv been asked to re send the pics as they cant enlarge them etc for veiwing or is this a move to deal with me without ebay getting involved ty as im unsure and any ifo would be great.

Mate you got involved buying a fake Hakko and then your got involved again buying not original spare tips.

You have two choices a) throw all away and buy a genuine solder iron. b) keep what it looks compatible and thrown away what it does not. Gain some time about collecting the proper amount of money so to get the real thing, by working with this setup as long the heat element works.

kiriakos mate im just starting out and it was a ebay sale one of those rebranded units a 3-1 hot air, psu, and soldering iron, wep 853d and the ad looking at it says real hakko element from japan but for the inexperinced i never read the ad properly my error i presumbed it was the iron too blue and yellow colour hakko thats there colours im sure and im on a budget arghhh done more digging and seen that the ceramic element come in 64mm and 60 mm im sure thats right so even being a clone iron they sent the wrong size of tip as that tip would have been fine with a 64mm or 65mm ceramic element think its 65mm but the one i got measures 60mm no wonder the tip moves freely cheers mate for ure input .
