    LCD protective film for meters?

    LCD protective film for meters?

Hello every one I am new here and need a little help.

I am looking for the proper lens protective film to put on my test equipment lenses.
I have checked Google and Ebay and there seems to be several types on the market.

Hoping some one here has experience with this and can save me the pain of trial and error.

    Thanks
    Guido

M1 A2338 screen and touchbar issues after cleaning up liquid damage
    by jkruns
    Hello everyone,

This is my first post after browsing this wonderful treasure trove of knowledge for many, many evenings. I've decided to learn how to fix these things, properly.

My patient is an A2338 Macbook Pro M1 (late 2020).

It had some corrosion around JT710 and JT700 caused by liquid spill, as well as against the protective barrier around the USB-C chips UF000 and UF100. So I took the main board out and cleaned it with a toothbrush and alcohol, then with alcohol in an ultrasonic cleaner. Cleaned the touchbar flex connectors as well. The board looks...

    HP Victus 16-e0185ax backlight
    by H...
At first, backlight would be really sensitive, sometimes you have to apply pressure to the bottom left of screen for backlight to be on, sometimes it will stay on but if desk is bumped it will go off. Eventually it stopped all together, disconnected battery, pulled the bezel off and disconnected the screen, then removed the protective film around the lcd board. During board inspection there was a resistor that was barely attached to only one pad, a tiny amount of force with tweezers got this to move completely off, and unfortunately too far away as it is now lost.. I don't know if this is the...

lowest current galvanometer/analog meter (passively powered!)
    by eccerr0r
Most analog meters are actually current driven - a current is needed to deflect the pointer full scale. They can be lots of different values. There are ones that can take several amperes to swing the pointer as they have internal shunts.

On the other hand there are many that are rated in microamps for the intent that they draw as little power as possible from the devices under test. Some are 1mA, 500µA, 200µA, 100µA, and the ubiquitous 50µA frequently used in analog VOMs. There are even 20, 25, 30 µA and even down to 10µA. Been collecting a bunch of different ratings and...
