Just a quick success story that may help someone down the line.
Had a kdl-55w700b come in with 5 blinks. Tested power supply and (what im going to call) input filter board. Everything checked out. Did the normal test to pull the main board cable to test backlight function. The cable was in the socket but not clipped in to place.
Clipped it back in, unplugged and replugged power. Hit power button. Its alive.
Owner says he bought it new and was never inside it. So a slip up from Sony QC it seems.
