Hello...I have an HP Elitebook x360 1040 G6 with a POST power-on password and a BIOS supervisor password...I see 2 Winbond chips...25Q256JVEQ and 25Q80DV1G...Which chip needs to be read/backed up/edited/reflashed?

I don't see any other SOP8/SOIC8 chips...Could it perhaps be on the reverse side of the motherboard?
Yes.

Thank you...Before I remove the motherboard, I wanted to read the 256 chip and save the bin file...Everything seems to go smoothly...I create 2 backups and compare in HexCamp, however the two files are not even close...I tried a few times and am getting the same result...Tried with NeoProgrammer and ASProgrammer. I am using a USB CH341A (black board) w/a Pomona 5250 clip...Any suggestions for a good reading? I removed the battery first...I connected the clip to the chip, inserted the USB, started the software...I have tried rearranging the placement on the chip, but no joy..
I also have a TL866II, but I can't get that to read anything at all...it's also my understanding those are mostly used with the desoldered chip in a socket adapter rather than a clip...

...How do you suggest I proceed?
Reading the chip in circuit (especially with the clamp) is always a bad idea - unsolder the chip and don't use a clip. Make at least 3 dumps and compare them to be sure you have a good backup (to avoid a big headache later).
Besides using a SOIC-8 clip to read a WSON-8 chip is (almost) impossible.
