Hello everyone, I think I am the worst repair guy here is my story...
I am trying to repair my daughter's board bought 3 months ago she dropped the macbook pro Board 820-01987 Resulting in no Backlight no Image.
I had fan spin and normal voltage and Amps at this point with the board out.
I tried to take some measurement on the display cable.
Unfortunately I felt a quick hot sensation when I did this... I know I know...
This is where I am at:
When I plug in the A2289 I Get 20.4V and takes 0.13A jumping after to 0.36 sometimes 0.42 and go back down to
0.29A Stays Steady for 10 seconds and the dies to 0.0A
Comes back up to 0.16A and then back down to 0.00A and stays there.
The only schematics and boardview I have found is the 820-01598 Which seems to be close enough to the 820-01987
So keep in mind that these can possibly be wrong but I tried my best to be close to the truth.
