TME=Time Management Execute.
This is a function on some PLL chips that allows the BIOS to set a hard upper limit to the FSB. A high signal during POST sets the limit to a value that's slected on other pins of the PLL.
A mod on older computer was to pull down the TME signal with a resistor to ground. Later PLL chips multiplexed a 33MHz output to the PCI bus on the TME pin to defeat this.
My thinking is if you put a diode to allow the PCI frequency out you should be able to put a parallel resistor on the input to unlock the TME limit. Resistor in,diode out.
Do you think this would work?
What specific diode or resistor parts would be needed for this?
I think I can handle the soldering for this myself.
