Hi, have a Dell g3 15 with motherboard la-f611p.
It responds to power button, and seems to start normally but with no video and no backlight.
Caps lock led lights-up, fan spins and also reads the usb connected in left usb port. (reads usb two times and seems not to do anything else)
With ctrl + alt + del, it reboots and caps lock lights, reads usb, and nothing else.
i have programmed a new good bios dump, but nothing changes.
Now I'm trying a usb bios recovery. (just in case flash content in kbc MEC1416 is corrupted)
For that matter I've download bios file from Dell website, G3_3579_3779_1.12.0.exe, rename it to BIOS_IMG.rcv, and put it in a 2 Gbytes fat32 formated pendrive.
Laptop boots and reads from the pendrive but never stops.
I've tested the same pendrive with ctrl + esc, but nothing changes.
Can somebody help with this bios recovery process?
Thanks.
Seems a little strange to put an executable file in a pendrive, but new bios are powerful.
