    Seiki SE39UY04 high pitch sound.

I purchased the Seiki SE39UY04 in 2014 to use it as a monitor for my computer. A couple of months ago it started making a strange noise each time I turned the TV off. Last week it started to make a high pitch noise all the time. It also started to behave strangely as the color palette was intermittently all messed up. It looked like a switching power supply problem. I opened the TV and I found a couple of 1000uf x 25v were bulging. I measured all the capacitors on the power supply board and they were all good except the 2 bulging capacitors with measured values of 250uf and 350uf. I replaced the capacitors, tested the TV and everything went back to normal. I was getting ready to go and buy a TCL, Hisense, or Vizio 4K 43" TV as a replacement. They cost between $200 and $270. I paid $300 for the Seiki 5 years ago.
I hope this helps to somebody with the same problem.

It is best to replace the caps as a set since bad cap can have high ESR and may not show any bad visually and capacitance may also show as normal.
