Just wanted to give you an update. The 1W 3V LEDs fro AliExpress came in yesterday (https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32788776719.html). This morning, I soldered one of them on to a scrap LED strip and characterized the Vf vs If. The updated graph is attached.
Also, how do you typically deal with the odd ball pad shape? Looks like the negative pad has a "fin" that extends into the positive pad. I just ended up cutting a narrow strip of Kapton tape and applied it to the board prior to installing. The Kapton was just wide enough to prevent the two pads from shorting when the LED is installed. I made sure to not cover up more than i needed to so its not reducing the heat dissipation ability.
I'll start working on replacing the LEDs for this TV sometime today.
All 44 LEDs have been replaced again. About 5 hours to replace, kapton tape that weird LED pad (see previous post), apply solder paste and reflow each one.
I also undid the power supply mod from earlier in the thread.
I'll let this burn in for a bit, then install the reflector and lenses.
