HP 15-bs191od, board LA-E802P, corrupt bios help request

I'm working on an HP 15-bs191od, product number 2UE53UA. It had BIOS F22, and after attempting to update to the latest bios F71, the display remains black.

I've attempted the BIOS recovery steps published by HP (e.g. ctrl-v, ctrl-b, ctrl-esc) without success.

I do not have a copy of the original BIOS, but a dump of the contents of the Winbond 25Q64JVSIQ chip is attached (dumped using TL866A using chips settings for 25Q64BV). (The latest bios from HP is available at https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp143...0/sp143731.exe )

I've reviewed the "BIOS, Guides, Methods, Resources and Tools" section but could not find anything that applied to this situation.

I've searched this forum and found several threads where this situation has been resolved for others by someone apparently "fixing" or merging a bin file and uploading it for the op. If this is applicable in this situation, could someone do the same here. (I would experiment with burning bin files from the bios update, but I'd prefer not to lose the serial number, GUID, etc)

Or you forgot to "review" that in the rules?
I'm just asking.

You MUST:

• Read BIOS guides, methods, resources and tools
• Try the method at BIOS guides, methods, resources and tools before requesting help
• Explain you were not able to succeed with the methods at BIOS guides, methods, resources and tools
• Use search function in case someone already answered your request
• Post under a related thread if it exists
• Provide the full machine model number and the board model number (see https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showthread.php?t=88758 )
• Name your thread with model numbers and request
• Provide a BIOS/EC dump if possible
• Attach files directly to your post instead of linking to external websites

Thank you very much!! That get the laptop working again! There was a message about "Manufacture Programming Mode is in unlocked mode", but I've seen and remedied that before (thanks to threads on badcaps.net).

I've made a $30 donation to badcaps.net to help offset costs and show my appreciation for the help provided!!
