      maybe your board has a fan testing feature that prevents posting with a bad fan. get the fan, and test that thing.

        I received a new fan from USA and a working Pentium M750 from UK.
        I replaced old fan and CPU and reassembled the notebook: the PC behaves in the same way, it tries to boot in an endless loop.
        The only thing working is the CD player.

        @ digge: I apologize to you, you were right about DVDDrive: it can be removed without opening the PC. I discovered it while I was reassembling the notebook.

        I give up, I will try to sell it to someone that needs spare parts.

          Well, I have the same issue with an Asus Z9200 K (pretty much the same as yours as far as I can see, but with nvidia graphics).

          I'm guessing you ended up stripping it for parts?
