I'm building a gaming PC but i'm super tight in terms of budget. I've found a pretty sweet xeon w3565 for 7€. It's a lga1366 socket but i've found some sellers who have Lga1366 mobos and because they're not popular (the mobos) i might get a deal.
Since it's a xeon CPU i thought server RAM might be an option. I've found 8Gb sticks for 20€ each and by the looks of things they're 1600MHz, not bad imo.
I won't be buying anything anytime soon since i'm pretty much broke right now so i have time to look for best deals.
What i want to know is how to identify a server ram compatible mobo in case it's the route i choose to go. Afterall, 40€ for 16 gigs of ram is not too bad.
And in case you're wondering why i'm broke, well, the R9 295X2 on my table might have something to do with that.
