Win2k server vs Samba

It is sad when a $3500 hp xeon server/ 1gb ram/scsi320 raid5 running win2k server and active directory offers slower directory browsing than a 600 celeron/512mb ram/80gb ata drive running samba on centos.

guess we gonna put centos on the hp and see what happens. glad i found webmin otherwise i would have given up earlier.

I had webmin on my old Debian box. LOVED it!!

sad to see novell go though. loved that os.....not for the config but for the reliability. have to search to find the damn server key to reboot it after 366 days uptime. no point in proceeding further they have shown their direction to be linux. soon i shut down the novell boxes forever.....thanks to webmin i hope to continue the same reliability in our new setup.
