Toshiba Satellite C55-A5285 - Possible to upgrade CPU?

    Greetings everyone!

I have a Toshiba Satellite C55-A5285 (YEAR:2013). I intend to upgrade the RAM and install an SSD because it has become very slow but, is it possible to upgrade the CPU, too? I am aware that things can get a bit complicated, especially when it comes to temperature values and potential compatibility issues with the CHIPSET and BIOS. Does undertaking the task make any sense?

Please see the attached photos for more information. Thank you for the help, folks! I appreciate it immensely!

    cpu spec:
    https://www.cpu-world.com/sspec/SR/SR0TX.html

    key points:
    socket G2,
    thermal limit 35w

find out what other cpu specs where available for the c55 range.
and get the latest bios update to analyse the cpu microcode in it.

Hello! Thank you for the help! From what I understand, the available CPU options and clock speeds are as follows:
      • Intel Core i3-3120M: 2.50 GHz
      • Intel Core i3-3110M: 2.40 GHz
      • Intel Celeron (various): 1.80 GHz
      • Intel Pentium 2020M: 2.40 GH
It seems as though the laptop in question already has the highest possible specifications (at the time) as it pertains to the CPU.

The link below contains what I believe to be a list of possibilities but I am afraid that it goes well beyond the specifications of my brain!

      Thanks again for your help!

do you have the latest bios?
i think there is software that can read it and tell you what cpu's it can support.

btw, looking at your link i dont see why anybody would want an i5 - it's just a slight overclock for a higher price.
i always thought they had a bigger cache or more cores.

Thanks for the response! I appreciate it! I agree with you. The juice would not be worth the squeeze on this one, I think. I shall just settle for an SSD and some new RAM.
