SAN FRANCISCO - Server and software maker Sun Microsystems Inc. has agreed to use chips from Intel Corp. in some of its servers and for Intel to endorse Sun's Solaris operating system, a person close to the deal told the AP late Sunday night.

An announcement is expected Monday, according to the person, who requested anonymity because the deal had not been made public. Specifics of the arrangement were not disclosed.

hahahaha its not that bad. i think their servers are well made. one way some companies work is that they get their technicians dell certified and then they can order warranty parts without having to suffer any low levels of bs technical support.

We did that at a school where I used to work. We certified one tech as a Dell technician, then just used that login to order all the replacement parts. Great service, order the part and get the replacement next day with a prepaid shipping label, ship it back in its own box. Wish they handled all their service that way.
          Ludicrous gibs!
