Any idea where to get a Mac book "super" drive?

I took apart a macbook pro with uj-867 optical drive that had gone bad, it makes loud mechanical noises when a disc is inserted, then ejects.

I'm not sure where to buy one?

I need the IDE version not SATA.

ebay should be loaded with them....otherwise, the Mac store, and bend over there...

I hate macs.

PC laptop: one screw and pops out the optical.

Mac Laptop: Take two dozen screws out, slice your fingers getting the top off then pull a half dozen of cables off the board, then FINALLY remove optical drive, but wait you gotta remove the interface cable and the glued on chassis components and stick them on the new drive.

Guess I take my chances on fleabay.

Well it bit me in the ass.

New optical drive worked fine for one day then started making scraping noises and scratching discs. I looked inside and one of the plastic piece of shit came unmounted inside the drive.

I damaged the ribbon cable that connects the keyboard/touchpad/powerbutton.
I stripped a thread in one of the screw holes thanks to the 2 dozen different screw types and having to figure out which one went where.

I hate macs. All this thing needed was a new hard-drive but I like this girl and wanted to do more than that. Now I regret it.
