Hello guys,
Yesterday I received my MSI GeForce 7600GT with passive cooling (NX7600GT-T2D256EZ) and started investigating the capacitors used on it. I don't know much about the subject, all I know is that some types are considered bad and can cause problems. Unfortunately, my MSI card has a few of them.
Here is the list of caps used on this card, along with their markings:
If I understand correctly, the Nichicon and Fujitsu are troublemakers. Now, I don't know what to do..I'm afraid to use the card.
I still have 6 days to get my money back or switch it for another card. If I were to switch, I would try an ASUS passive GF 7600GT. But, of course, I'm not sure if I will be better of with that one as no info is widely available on the caps used on these things.
I was wondering if you guys could give me some advice. I also bought an MSI K9N SLI Platinum with it, it also has some problematic caps. I'll make another thread about it later on as I don't have the time atm. Would appreciate it if you could visit it as well.
Thanks in advance!
