Just installed a 250gb Scorpio Blue into my Netbook, and the BIOS identifies it as a Hitachi drive. Does WD not make their own 2.5" drives?

Re: WD Scorpio Blue a rebranded Hitachi?
I wonder if the Scorpio Blacks are still WD. This Blue came from an Xbox 360 actually.Comment

Re: WD Scorpio Blue a rebranded Hitachi?
blacks probably still are, i don't think they would switch, as its their flagship line. blues are just whichever drive is cheaper and more convenient to package at that time.Comment

by maceHi,
I have picked up a Hitachi 58HK6100U smart TV with a black/blue screen issue.
It's a vestel unit, using the MB230.
Visual inspection shows no obvious issues with caps, and diodes on PSU all look reasonable. I've not been able to check voltages, as I haven't spotted a schematic that matches the power supply, a 17ips72.
I've confirmed that the set boots successfully, albeit without picture. If I disconnect either the left or right ribbon cables, I get picture on the other side.
I noted a few bad lines at the bottom on... -
by tom_hHello all,
I have a Sceptre X505BV-FMDR8HJ1PE8 tv that had been gradually over time taking longer
and longer to come on, now it will no longer display any image. Original symptoms
are the red standby LED would turn to blue immediately when pressing the power on
button, but there would be a delay for the "SCEPTRE" image to appear on the screen
and backlight to come on. The delay kept getting longer, then it would go from blue
LED back to red. Then when I pressed the power on button again it would bring the
display up and work fine.... -
Greetings!
This is my office TV and came back to work after the weekend to find the TV with blue power light on (which is normally the on state), but no picture. Power had gone off over the weekend in the building. Also, found that TV was plugged into a 3 prong outlet surge protector with the ground prong cut off sometime in the past. Tried resetting the AC and found that it clicks on when plugged in, no panel prime, blue LED turns solid, can hear fans come on, then another click as if it's shutting down, but blue LED stays on. Pressing power will not do anything; it's just stuck... -
by howardc64Recently fixed a couple of LGs with blue backlight (yellow phosphor worn) by replacing LED backlight
2017 49UJ6500 with 10.5k hours (all LEDs turned blue)
2019 75UM8070PUA with 12k hours (>75% of LEDs turned blue)
So the 2019 was averaging 8hr/+day and 2017 probably 5hr+/day
Just some stats for future repairs.03-23-2023, 09:45 PM -
by dicky96Hi Guys
I have a customer who has two Hitachi TVs in his bar, one is the model in the thread title and the other is a larger screen but has the same setup menu
He also has an LG TV, so three screens in the bar
I installed three Satlink ST-6503 DVB-T Modulators
This model https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32916553905.html
These connect to three satellite receivers via HDMI cables and then connect to a 4 way RF Amp that connects to the TVs on aerial cable. There is no incoming terrestrial antenna. I set the channel ID on the modulators to... - Loading...
