Chemicon BF Series Fake Or Not?

I just bought a nice Mastech linear supply 0-30V @ 5A and decided to crack it open to check its caps out.

While their supplies are pretty good their cap selection is less than perfect.

A few unknowns were in there mostly caps with a pyramid logo series SNE with a K vent (I've seen these before and replace them on sight).

For the supply filter caps there is a 4700uf 63V Chemicon no complaints there.

But I may have found a Chemicon imposter tied between the output ports as a final filter it's a so called Chemicon 470uf at 63 volts. Now the wierd thing is it has a K vent I've never seen this before its series is BF.

Looking on Chemicons site I couldn't find this series anywhere and from my experience with Chemicon I have never seen them use a K vent. Not to mention the font looks a bit off.

What do you guys think?

I think you are right - counterfeit.

Logo is not correct.
Sides are too parallel and there is no point in the center on the bottom line.

Thanks for the confirmation I thought they looked fishy.

It seems the pirates have graduated from Rulycon to faking logos. Whats worse the date code was 08 25 so these caps where manufactured in 08. I hope they get busted and don't pawn off this crap to anyone else.

One of these companies radial snap ins had electrolyte between the plastic sleeve liner and the piece of circular plastic covering the vent cap held in place by the sleeve.

They got more gutsy with this one Nippon Chemicon is printed inside the crown the cap uses the same bad font so I'm thinking same knockoff company.

I can't find any information on the BF Series.
Nippon Chemi-Con only uses a "Y" vent with equal angles.
So this capacitor is most likely to be a fake.
