    Cap identification

    Hello everyone!

I found a bunch of these caps in my Sharp LCD TV and would like to know if anyone knows the manufacturer or the brand name.

It says something like "Dum? Con".

I already googled the capacitor series, but only found capacitors of other manufacturers.

    Thanks.

    Re: Cap identification

If this set was mine I would recap at least the power supply board and if you have a ESR meter I would check all caps that 100uf and lower to 1uf

If you check low value UF caps and get a reading 1.0 or higher of ERS resistance I will check them with a new cap of same value and what the difference is this how good those caps are

If you do not have an ESR meter then I would change all low value caps with new ones

      Re: Cap identification

      Thanks for your reply.

The TV set is working perfectly by now and it still has two years warranty, so I won’t modify or measure anything, which would involve desoldering, until it is really necessary.

The caps I want to find out more about are in rather non-critical zones (audio amplifier and some signal processing circuit) — the OEM used at least Samxon GK and Capxon KF + GF capacitors together with one lonely Aishi RR capacitor in the power supply and LED driver section, so for a 240 Euro unit it could be worse.
